Welcome!

Hi all, and welcome to my blog. I'm Heather, I'm 20 and I like to write about things. Sometimes I rant, sometimes I have funny things to say, and sometimes I just ramble. This was originally to showcase my narwhals in disguise (they're narwhals in disguises really), but I liked writing too much to limit it. Enjoy!

Narwhal warning

My mum just mentioned that I should have found a way to stop meanies stealing my narwhals. However I don't know how to watermark them or anything, and I didn't sign them (although even if I did it could be cropped out I guess), so please don't steal- if you copy them, reference me as the artist/author/whatever. DO NOT STEAL or I'll set the narwhal army on you. Not that I think they're worth stealing yet, just first drawings with many a mistake... but still. Trusting you nice people out there...

Twenty-second narwhal

#22: Dalek. Today the narwhal is using his powers of disguise to infiltrate the enemy camp and gain information for the Doctor! He's got a good idea here, but has no idea where to find the Daleks or the Doctor. He feels, however, that if he rolls around for long enough in his wheelie-chair based disguise, he's bound to come across one of them sooner or later.

Twenty-first narwhal

#21: Lamppost. Helpful as ever, the narwhal has now taken to lighting people's way home. He has decided to impersonate a lamppost! Unfortunately, in the process of gaining this disguise, a real lamppost was uprooted and decapitated. Then how, you ask, is the lamp glowing when it has been so rudely disconnected from its wires? Well, it's simple- it runs from the narwhal's joy.

Twentieth narwhal

#20: Knitting needle. The narwhal helped the professor teach his students, as a pointy stick... now, he's helping the professor's wife! Stealing away one of her knitting needles, he substitutes his tusk. The knitter is none the wiser, contentedly knitting... something, with her slightly oversized needle. How happy she is, knitting with a narwhal!
(Also, sorry about the picture quality around here. Scanner wasn't working when I started narwhals, then we got a new one and I haven't yet figured it out. And the font is odd because I'm copying and pasting from my Facebook album, and i only just realised it's strange)

Nineteenth narwhal

#19: Toothbrush. As his large tusk may suggest, the narwhal is an avid supporter of dental hygiene. Today he's showing this by attaching bristles to his tusk and positioning himself cunningly in an unsuspecting person's bathroom, disguised as a (large) toothbrush. Clasping his tube of toothpaste, he's ready to help people fight decay in this disguise!

Eighteenth narwhal

#18: Although the narwhal is not a native of Britain, he loves this country and uses his disguises here commonly. He has chosen to show his love of Britain in this cunning disguise- a flagpole! His huge smile shows just how much he enjoys flying his flag!

Seventeenth narwhal

#17: The narwhal has discovered a friend- the fish! He met the fish while strolling through this garden in the guise of a woodpecker. Now he has decided to stay with his new friend- but not as a narwhal! He then had an idea... donning a red hat and fishing rope, and throwing a gnome behind some grass, he becomes a garden gnome! His skills are truly marvellous.

Sixteenth narwhal

#16: Punk. The adventurous narwhal decided to try out the punk scene. He has a new mohican and flipper tattoo (press on of course), and is wandering around observing Banksy art and other punks. Surprisingly enough, the punks accept him without question. Must be the hair.
(By the way, this took the longest of any narwhal so far.)

Fifteenth narwhal

#15: Sign. Inconspicuous as always, the narwhal leans against the wall, displaying his latest disguise proudly- he is a signpost for a shop! In a gardening mood after his stint as a dibber, he chose a sign with a flower on it, in the hopes of the shop selling them. Unfortunately, he can't read.

Fourteenth narwhal

#14: Dibber. What a delightful word! The narwhal loved it so much he decided to try a day as one. You'd think it would be hard work digging holes all day, but the narwhal loves it... but he'll knock the plants over with his tail if he doesn't watch out!

Thirteenth narwhal

#13: There's not much call for these any more, but the narwhal ventured into a museum and found that he could easily disguise himself as a plague doctor, with his long tusk. More interesting than a plain white coat, at any rate...

Twelfth narwhal

#12: Snowman. The narwhal is keen to join in with the winter fun- so creates this cunning disguise! Won't people be pleased to see this delightful snowman smiling at them? (Picture by Elizabeth)

Eleventh narwhal

#11: Maypole. Keen to join in with the celebrations, the narwhal ties coloured ribbons to his tusk. He loves colour! The children have a wonderful time, running around the happily smiling maypole.

Tenth narwhal

#10: Moose. The narwhal went on a holiday to Alaska, so he needed a new disguise! This was one of his least well thought out disguises, but he seems to have puzzled the moose, at least.

Ninth narwhal

#9: Woodpecker. Continuing in the animal vein, the narwhal took to drilling holes in trees. he is making his way around peoples' gardens in the guise of a woodpecker. Indistinguishable from the real thing.

Eight narwhal

#8: Narwhal. He has by now become a little confused, so takes on the guise of a narwhal. The others are a little confused, but otherwise accept his eccentricities.

Seventh narwhal

#7: Pointy stick used in lectures. The narwhal again shows his helpful side, illustrating points while furthering his education. Never mind that he is oblivious to the meanings of the big words, and the confusion of the students... (I know the cycle on the board is wrong by the way)

Sixth narwhal

#6: Unicorn. Haven't you ever wanted to be a mythical creature? Well, with the help of glitter, wooden legs (Sorry Will, my imagination didn't stretch to mechanical ones) and tape, the narwhal has become one. He can't move, but is content.

Fifth narwhal

#5: Umbrella. He loves rain, but would be stared at if he went out in it... so he fashioned a disguise by attaching an umbrella to his tusk.

Fourth narwhal

#4: Hat stand. The helpful narwhal sneaks into a house as a hat stand, after kidnapping the real one and hastily throwing it out of the window.

Third narwhal

#3: Kebab. The narwhal loves kebabs, but can't just go into a shop for one... so he sneaks one! He skewers his kebab on his tusk, then hurries out of the back door into the night, to enjoy his treat.

Second narwhal

#2: Litter picker. He is a helpful narwhal, so decides to help the world by picking up litter. This disguise is fantastic... from a great distance...

First narwhal

I've decided to add my narwhals one at a time as I'm not sure if I can add an album. Hope everyone likes them and you can see the picture!
#1: Carousel. The narwhal loves the fair so much he decided to join in!
